I'm Steve Giralt, and I run Giralt Technologies out of the Bitterroot Valley in Western Montana. I help small businesses build websites that actually bring in customers and choose the right technology without the runaround.
Why I do this
I've been building things on the web for years. I've worked with businesses of all sizes, but the work I find most rewarding is helping small business owners — the people who are great at what they do but don't have time to figure out the tech side.
I started Giralt Technologies because I saw too many businesses getting sold things they didn't need by agencies that disappeared after the check cleared. I wanted to offer something different: honest advice, real results, and a person you can actually call.
How I'm different
When you work with me, you work with me — not an account manager, not a rotating team of freelancers, not a chatbot. I'm the one who picks up the phone. I'm the one who builds your site. And I'm the one who's still here six months later when you have a question.
I don't do cookie-cutter templates or page builders. Everything I build is custom, because your business isn't generic and your website shouldn't be either. And custom isn't just about looks — it's what lets your site actually do the job your business needs done, whether that's taking bookings, pulling in your latest sales, or keeping itself up to date. That's the kind of thing a template can't give you. That said, I'm not going to over-engineer things just to pad an invoice. You get exactly what you need — nothing more, nothing less.
What it's like to work together
I keep things simple. We have a conversation. I tell you what I think you need and what it'll cost. If you want to move forward, great — I get to work. You can be as involved as you want, or you can hand it off entirely. Either way, you'll always know what's happening and you'll never get a surprise bill.
I also believe in being straight with you. If you don't need a new website, I'll tell you. If your current site just needs a few tweaks, I'll tell you that too. I'd rather earn your trust than make a quick sale.
Beyond the screen
I live in the Bitterroot Valley because I love it here. When I'm not working, you'll find me outdoors — hiking, hunting, or just enjoying the mountains with my family. I'm active in my community and I believe in the kind of relationships you build when you live in a small town and see your neighbors at the grocery store.
That's the same approach I bring to my work. I'm not some faceless agency. I'm a guy who lives here, cares about doing good work, and wants to see the businesses around me succeed.
Giving back
I also run Tech For Your Church, a volunteer organization that provides free website development, social media setup, live streaming, and other technology services to churches across the country. If you're a church that needs help with your online presence, I may be able to help at no cost — reach out and let's talk about it.
